NAUVOO, Ill. (AP) - Anyone who missed the fireworks on the Fourth of July might want to head to the community of Nauvoo along the western edge Illinois.

The Quincy Herald-Whig (https://bit.ly/1qG63cg ) reports that Nauvoo and Montrose, Iowa, on the other side of the Mississippi River are hosting a fireworks show on Saturday night.

But starting at 5 p.m. until the fireworks show starts about 9, Nauvoo is hosting a car cruise called Cruisin’ for the Kids Cruise to raise money for a scholarship fund for students hoping to further their education in an automotive program after graduating from high school. There is no entry fee for the cruise night that was organized by Warsaw High School student Michael McCarty.
