JOHNSVILLE, Ohio (AP) - Firefighters have found a man dead in a pole barn that was destroyed by a blaze along a remote road in rural north-central Ohio.

Johnsville fire Chief Harlan Barrick told the Mansfield News Journal (https://ohne.ws/1qF1QW4 ) Friday that the barn appeared to be used as living quarters and was located next to a mobile home that also burned overnight. Barrick says the pole barn was set up with a kitchen and a bed.

He says the cause of the fire is under investigation, but it doesn’t appear to be arson.

Authorities didn’t immediately release other details, including the name and age of the man who died.

At least five departments responded to the blaze.
