NEW YORK (AP) - Police say they’ve arrested a suspect in a Queens shooting that left a man and a teenage boy hospitalized.

The NYPD says officers chased Shannon Smith as he fled Friday in a car and then on foot.

They charged the 34-year-old Valley Stream man with attempted murder, assault, criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment.

Police say officers found Smith with a stolen .45-caliber handgun. They say he resisted arrest.

Information on Smith’s lawyer wasn’t immediately available.

The shooting happened on 8th Street in Astoria around 4:40 p.m., Friday.

Police say a 30-year-old man is in critical but stable condition at Elmhurst Hospital with wounds to his torso and leg.

A 15 year-old boy is in stable condition with a wound to his shoulder.
