HANAHAN, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say a 19-year-old man was shot before he crashed his car into a house in Hanahan.

Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury said the gunshot killed Terrence McNeil of North Charleston.

Police were called after McNeil crashed into the garage of the home around 4:30 a.m. Friday. No one inside the house was injured.

Authorities say they are investigating McNeil’s death as a homicide. No suspects have been named, and police have not released a motive for the killing.
