ELMIRA, N.Y. (AP) - A 22-year-old Elmira man is in the Chemung County Jail without bail after being charged with shooting at police officers who were investigating a report of a domestic dispute.

The Elmira Star-Gazette reports (https://stargaz.tt/1qVIZUo ) that Travis Fedock was arraigned Thursday on charges of first-degree attempted murder. He’s accused of firing a shotgun at a state trooper and a sheriff’s deputy.

The sheriff’s office says the deputy and trooper returned fire but nobody was injured.

It could not be determined if Fedock has a lawyer.
