SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Two Salt Lake City police officers were injured early Saturday after they responded to a call over a stolen cellphone.

Investigators say the officers were confronted by a group of about 10 people after they arrived at a home where the stolen phone was believed to be located.

One of the officers was stabbed in the back with a knife and the other suffered a neck injury when he was pushed down the home’s outside stairs after a fight broke out.

Both officers were released after treatment at a local hospital.

Police told The Salt Lake Tribune two adults and two juveniles were taken to jail and two other adults were cited in the attack.

The names of the suspects and officers were not immediately released.

The cellphone was reported stolen during a fireworks display Friday night at Sugarhouse Park.
