PINE BLUFF, Ark. (AP) - Authorities say an investigator with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has shot a man in Pine Bluff.

KATV reports (https://bit.ly/1vKAJXG ) that police were called to a shooting in north Pine Bluff shortly before 3:30 a.m. Saturday and found 36-year-old Dedric Jones with a gunshot wound to the chest. Police say Jones was taken to a local hospital in unknown condition.

The name of the investigator was not released. Authorities say the investigator was not injured and is on administrative leave pending an investigation into the shooting.
