TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - Toledo officials are looking into buying a state-owned office tower in downtown Toledo that houses government offices.

State officials are considering selling the building that houses city, county, and state offices in Toledo.

The potential sale comes as city leaders in Toledo are upset with the state over a proposal to double the rent.

A city official tells The Blade (https://bit.ly/1odLbFI ) newspaper that the building needs about $6 million in major repairs.

The state already has talked with the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority about selling the building to that agency.
