ROCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - Hurricane Arthur is to blame for the town of Rochester canceling its Independence Day fireworks.

The police department announced on its Facebook page that high winds made it too dangerous to stage the fireworks on Saturday night. Heavy rains on Friday had forced the town to push it to Saturday.

The rain and winds connected to Arthur helped postpone fireworks celebrations around New England.
