DENVER (AP) - Authorities say a child who was pulled from a reservoir southwest of Denver and taken to a hospital in critical condition has died.

Sgt. Ron Hanavan with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says rescue crews were called to Chatfield Reservoir just after 5:30 p.m. Saturday. A dive team recovered the child near the southeast banks of the reservoir.

The Denver Post reports (https://dpo.st/1oyCypw ) the victim, whose name and age have not been released, died at a hospital several hours later.
