CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (AP) - Police say a Central Falls man suspected of drunken driving has been arrested as he drove with his 4-year-old son.

Aramis Aviles was arrested Saturday night for driving under the influence. Police say he failed a field sobriety test.

The 29-year-old Aviles lost his license four years ago after pleading no contest to driving under the influence.

Police said Aviles and his son were not wearing seat belts.

Authorities say Aviles also failed to appear in court for payment review on his last drunken-driving charge.

He was charged with driving under the influence and four traffic violations. He was arraigned Sunday and held on $1,000 bail for arraignment Monday at District Court.

It was not known Sunday if he’s represented by a lawyer.
