FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Police say a 21-year-old man has been shot and killed after a man he was riding with stopped for a passenger in Fayetteville.

Investigators said two men in a car picked up the shooter around 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Authorities say the man who was given a ride then tried to rob the other men in the car, shooting the passenger, Daniel Morrison.

Police say the driver drove the Morrison to the hospital, but he died a short time later.

No arrests have been made.
