REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. (AP) - State police say a motorcyclist was killed when he rear-ended a pickup truck on Coastal Highway in Rehoboth Beach.

The crash occurred around 1:40 a.m. Sunday. Police say 24-year-old Kenneth Hunt II of Dover was heading south at a high rate of speed and apparently didn’t see the truck, which had been stopped at a red light. Hunt struck it with his motorcycle shortly after the light turned green and the truck started moving.

Hunt died at the scene. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The driver and two passengers inside the pickup truck were uninjured.
