UTICA, N.Y. (AP) - A man with four prior drunken driving arrests is back behind bars after police say he knocked over a sign outside an upstate New York Home Depot store and then sped off while drunk.

The Utica Observer Dispatch reports (https://bit.ly/1oqdUWu ) Jason Hammond was arrested Friday after officers caught up with him in the parking lot of a nearby supermarket.

The 29-year-old recently left state prison after serving more than two years for a previous drunken driving conviction. Police say he didn’t have a driver’s license or a required ignition interlock.

The newspaper reports Hammond registered a blood-alcohol content of .13. He’s jailed without bail pending a court appearance.
