PITTSBURGH (AP) - Pittsburgh police have made an arrest in the fatal stabbing of a 75-year-old man.

Authorities say a man called Saturday morning just after 11 a.m. to report that he couldn’t get into his residence in the Brookline neighborhood, and saw his roommate Alan Krupitzer on the floor. Later that day police arrested 48-year-old Christopher Richardson, a neighbor who had been staying with Krupitzer, and charged him with robbery and criminal homicide. Officials say Richardson tried to borrow money from Krupitzer.

Richardson is being held in the Allegheny County Jail without bond.

No attorney was listed on court papers, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 18.
