WEST CHESTER, Ohio (AP) - Authorities say three firefighters were injured in a house fire in suburban Cincinnati and a woman living in the house was taken to the hospital.

West Chester Township spokeswoman Barb Wilson says none of the firefighters required hospitalization. She says the woman was taken to the hospital sometime after the fire apparently as a precaution. Her condition wasn’t immediately known.

Wilson says one firefighter tripped in the dark while hauling a 300-pound hose and was treated at a hospital and released. The other two were treated at the scene for heat exhaustion.

Wilson says the damage was mostly contained to the garage.

Fire officials are investigating to determine the cause of the fire that killed one of the woman’s two dogs.
