HARTLY, Del. (AP) - The Delaware State Police says a Hartly man has been arrested for a ninth DUI offense.

The Delaware State Police says it happened Sunday around 3:30 p.m. when a trooper was sent to the 900 block of Myers Drive for a report of a truck broken down in a driveway. The trooper determined 51-year-old Dale Guifoil was attempting to leave a yard sale when a mechanical problem with his truck stopped him. The trooper smelled alcohol on Guifoil’s breath as he sat in the truck’s driver’s seat, and he was arrested.

The Delaware State Police says records show Guifoil has eight previous convictions for DUI dating back to 1993, with the latest in 2009.

Guifoil faces felony DUI and other charges. He did not appear to have a listed number.
