AUDUBON, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say a century-old building in western Iowa was completely destroyed after a fire broke out inside.

The 102-year-old building near the main street of Audubon caught fire Friday afternoon. Area firefighters continued to work the scene until Sunday morning.

Officials say the blaze was contained Friday night, but firefighters from multiple departments had to wait while the fire burned itself out. No injuries were reported.

Audubon Fire Chief John Ballou says the cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation.

The Carroll Daily Times Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1kUIhGJ ) the building, which was built in 1912, previously housed retail businesses. It recently was used for storage.
