FLINT, Mich. (AP) - A wellness program for kids is being offered this summer at the Whaley Children’s Center in Flint.

The children’s center partnered with the Crim Fitness Foundation and General Motors Flint Assembly on FitKids, which runs through Aug. 15.

Crim will provide nutrition lessons, basketball coaching and yoga lessons through a donation from General Motors Flint Assembly.

The Whaley Children’s Center has cared for Michigan’s most severely abused and neglected children for nearly 90 years. The children are between the ages of 5 and 17 and are referred to Whaley by the state’s Department of Human Services.
