JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) - Additional water testing in Jamestown has turned up no more traces of coliform bacteria.

KQDJ radio reports that water samples from a convenience store taken in June for routine state testing were positive for the bacteria. Coliform bacteria itself is unlikely to cause illness, but it can be an indicator that disease-causing organisms might be present in the water.

Four subsequent samples taken from the store and five samples taken from surrounding businesses all have tested negative for coliform bacteria.

Water will continue to be tested twice a month as part of routine monitoring.
