GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Furman has added Duquesne transfer Isaiah Watkins to its men’s basketball team.

Coach Niko Medved announced the move Monday. Watkins is a 6-foot-8 forward who played 16 games last winter as a freshman for Duquesne. He will sit out next season in compliance with NCAA transfer rules and have three years of eligibility at Furman.

Watkins missed the first six games of last season because of arthroscopic knee surgery before averaging 1.4 points and 1.4 rebounds.

Medved said Watkins will add versatility with his size and can stretch the defense because of his shooting.
