POTTSVILLE, Pa. (AP) - Authorities say more tests will be needed to determine what killed a man found dead after a fire in an eastern Pennsylvania home over the weekend.

The (Pottsville) Republican-Herald (https://bit.ly/1sm9Qci ) reports that fire crews in Schuylkill County were called to the Cass Township home shortly after 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

Officials said 65-year-old Richard Dermo was found in a first-floor room and pronounced dead at the scene.

Coroner David Moylan III said the victim had “extensive thermal injuries” but that “some significant cardiac disease” may have contributed to his death.

Cass Township fire chief Pete Ricigliano said the cause of the fire remains under investigation, but it isn’t considered suspicious.
