TILTON, N.H. (AP) - Police in Tilton, New Hampshire, say a man punched and knocked to the ground a store manager who was walking to her car with the store’s night deposit bag, then ran off with the cash.

The Citizen reports (https://bit.ly/VzxGqo) Police Chief Robert Cormier said witnesses said the Dollar Tree manager was headed to her car at the West Main Shopping plaza Sunday night when the man dressed in black clothing and wearing a mask approached.

Cormier said the man got into a tan- or gold-colored SUV driven by another man. The vehicle drove toward Franklin.

The manager was hospitalized with multiple injuries; her condition and name were not immediately known Monday.

Cormier said detectives are reviewing video from the assault and robbery.
