NEWPORT, Vt. (AP) - Vermont police say the death of 35-year-old man in Newport has been ruled a homicide.

Police say Isaac Hunt was found dead Sunday after reports of a fight in progress on Lake Road in Newport.

Police say Hunt and his girlfriend went to the Lake Road address as part of an ongoing dispute with 31-year-old Christian Cornelius and his brother, 24-year-old Garrett Cornelius, both of Newport.

Police say Christian Cornelius stabbed Hunt in the leg with a knife.

State police say the incident is being investigated with Newport police. The case will be reviewed by the Orleans County State’s Attorney.

There was no telephone listing for Christian Cornelius. A person who answered the phone at a number listed for Garrett Cornelius didn’t know him.
