BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - A New York man faces sentencing for fatally stabbing another man during a fight on a Buffalo street.

Jamie Galarza is due Monday in state Supreme Court where a jury convicted him of manslaughter in May.

The 26-year-old was acquitted of a more serious charge of second-degree murder.

Authorities say Galarza and 21-year-old Davonte Johnson of Buffalo were fighting in front of Galarza’s ex-girlfriend’s house last October when the stabbing occurred.

Galarza faces a minimum prison term of five years and a maximum of 25 years.
