FALMOUTH, Maine (AP) - The 12 dairy suppliers to MOO Milk have rejected an offer from Oakhurst Dairy and will disband the company permanently.

The Portland Press Herald reports (https://bit.ly/TOaxin ) that several farmers didn’t like the offer from Oakhurst that would have returned the Falmouth-based organic milk brand to store shelves.

MOO Milk officials say in a statement that the farmers are seeking individual agreements to sell their milk instead of working together.

The company discontinued sales to customers in May due to problems with outdated equipment.
