HUDSON, N.H. (AP) - Police say a bicyclist remains hospitalized in critical condition after he crashed into a car in Hudson.

Authorities say 47-year-old James Landry was riding against traffic when he went through a red light and hit the side of a car on Monday.

The Nashua man was thrown from his electric-assisted bicycle. Police say he was not wearing a helmet.

Landry was taken to a hospital with a serious head injury.

Officials say the driver of the car remained at the scene and will not face any charges.

Police are urging bicyclists to always wear a helmet and to obey the rules of the road.
