DEERFIELD, Mass. (AP) - Authorities say a woman’s body has been discovered in the Deerfield River.

The Northwestern district attorney’s office said the body was discovered in Deerfield by kayakers at about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The state medical examiner will determine the woman’s identity.

In light of Tuesday’s discovery, authorities said the search for a woman who went missing while tubing on the Deerfield River in Conway on Sunday is not expected to continue.

The tuber who went missing was about 26 years old and from out of state, but her name was not made public.

Using inner tubes to float down the Franklin County river is a popular summertime activity.
