TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - An Air Force wing stationed at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson is hosting a competition this week for teams from units that fly the A-10 attack jets.

The “Hawgsmoke 2014” competition will be conducted Wednesday through Saturday and involve 14 teams from units around the world competing in bombing, gunnery and missile tactics.

The competition will be conducted at military operating areas, with the flying competition being held Thursday at the Barry M. Goldwater Range in southwestern Arizona.

The 355th Fighter Wing is hosting the competition because it won the 2012 competition.
