PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - A Statehouse lobbyist who failed to disclose that he loaned money to former House Speaker Gordon Fox has now said the loan was for $10,000.

Ray Rickman filed the information with the secretary of state’s office on Tuesday. He and Fox had both neglected to report the loan from August 2009 in required filings.

The loan came to light last month when Fox filed papers with the Ethics Commission belatedly disclosing it. The papers did not specify the amount of the loan, but said it was still outstanding in 2013.

Fox resigned his speakership in March after the FBI, IRS and others raided his Statehouse office. Federal officials haven’t said what they’re investigating.

The secretary of state’s office last week said it was investigating whether Rickman violated lobbying disclosure laws.
