MERIDIAN, Miss. (AP) - Meridian police say the initial hearing for a man charged with murder in the Friday night shooting death of a teenager has been pushed back to later this week.

Detective Dareall Thompson tells The Meridian Star (https://bit.ly/1tiH0Oe ) 26-year-old Lyndell Marcell Pritchard, who is charged with murder and two counts of possession of stolen firearms, was scheduled to have his initial hearing Monday, but the hearing was moved to Wednesday.

The victim in the shooting has been identified as 19-year-old Kelvin Harris.

Thompson says the case is still under investigation.

It was unclear whether Pritchard has an attorney.
