DOVER, Del. (AP) - Delaware officials are looking for a Seaford man who walked away from a community corrections facility in Dover where he was serving time.

The Delaware Department of Corrections said Tuesday that Michael Washington walked away from the Morris Community Corrections Center in Dover on Monday. The facility handles offenders who are transitioning back into the community, and offenders are allowed to leave to go to work, seek employment or attend approved treatment sessions.

But corrections officials say the 21-year-old Washington did not return to the facility as he should have. Corrections officials say Washington was serving time for a probation violation. His original charge was possession of a firearm by a person prohibited.
