OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma’s multicounty grand jury has indicted a former Cordell man with murder in the disappearance of his ex-girlfriend.

Attorney General Scott Pruitt’s office said Tuesday that the indictment charges 35-year-old Ronnie Dean Denny Jr. with first-degree murder in the disappearance of Melissa Flores.

Flores went missing on Jan. 27, 2007, in Washita County, and authorities say Flores and Denny lived together at the time.

Pruitt says Denny was arrested July 1 in Collin County, Texas, and authorities are seeking his extradition.

Flores, the mother of three young children, was last known to be at Denny’s home in Cordell. Items belonging to Flores, including her cellphone, purse and car, were found at Denny’s residence. Flores’ remains have never been found.
