NEWBURYPORT, Mass. (AP) - Authorities say a man has been accused of leading police on a chase through New Hampshire that ended on Interstate 95 in Massachusetts.

New Hampshire state police responded to calls about a reckless driver on Route 101 eastbound in Manchester on Tuesday morning.

WMUR-TV reports (https://bit.ly/U1vqXQ) police said the driver passed other vehicles in the breakdown lane at a high speed. Police said the driver pulled into a state liquor store on I-95 southbound and tried to take other cars, but was unsuccessful.

Police said the man then continued southbound and crashed near exit 56 in Newburyport. He ran into the woods, but police caught up with him. He’s been identified as 32-year-old Nicholas Cammann.

He faces charges in both states. It wasn’t immediately known if he had a lawyer.
