NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Nashville Predators have signed defenseman Anthony Bitetto to a one-year contract.

The Predators announced Tuesday that Bitetto, a restricted free agent, had accepted his qualifying offer and had signed a contract.

The 23-year-old Bitetto spent last season with the American Hockey League’s Milwaukee Admirals, a Predators affiliate. He had 36 points for Milwaukee and tied for sixth among AHL defensemen with 11 goals.

Under the terms of his two-way contract, Bitetto will be making a $605,000 salary when he’s in the NHL and a $60,000 salary when he’s in the AHL.

Bitetto, who is 6 feet tall and 215 pounds, played collegiately at Northeastern.
