AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say a teenager has been charged with threatening an Augusta talk radio host.

The Augusta Chronicle reports (https://bit.ly/1vYuwYf ) Columbia County sheriff’s deputies arrested the 16-year-old suspect after radio station WGAC host Austin Rhodes reported threats he received via postings on Facebook. Rhodes told deputies he had recently discussed a drive-by shooting on his show and it sparked a conversation on his work-related Facebook page.

An incident report filed in the case says the suspected teenager wrote on Facebook: “The Austin Rhodes show gone be dead on my life.” Authorities say Rhodes saved the threatening comments before the teen deleted them.

The teenager was arrested Monday on charges of making terroristic threats and was taken to the Regional Youth Detention Center.
