CHEROKEE, Iowa (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a man whose body was found in the Little Sioux River in northwest Iowa.

He was identified as 44-year-old David Driesen, of Cherokee.

Investigators say a local resident discovered the body in the river near Wescott Park in Cherokee on Monday afternoon. An autopsy was scheduled as part of the investigation into Driesen’s death.
