JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - The Alaska Judicial Council has nominated four candidates for the Anchorage Superior Court.

The council advanced the nominations of assistant public defenders Elizabeth Brennan and Josie Garton, private practice attorney Michael D. Corey and Jonathan Woodman, an assistant attorney general.

A final decision on a pick will be made by Gov. Sean Parnell.

The vacancy on the court is being created by the pending retirement of Judge Sen Tan.
