GLENOLDEN, Pa. (AP) - Authorities say they believe a man shot his wife in their southeastern Pennsylvania home before turning the weapon on himself.

The Delaware County Daily Times (https://bit.ly/1n5rSMI ) reports that a relative found the couple with gunshot wounds in their Glenolden home at about 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Authorities said 66-year-old Carol Ann Piroli was taken to Crozer-Chester Medical Center, where officials said she was pronounced dead shortly before 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Delaware County District Attorney Jack Whelan said 66-year-old Richard Piroli was pronounced dead at the scene of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Whelen said he did not believe that police had had prior contact with the couple, but was told that the man had been acting out of sorts in recent days.
