WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) - Two former employees at a Worcester health organization have been indicted on charges of stealing a woman’s pain medications for more than three years by falsely reporting that her doctor had discontinued her prescription.

Prosecutors tell The Telegram & Gazette (https://bit.ly/1inICfx ) that Jessica Parzych and Karen Bellerose altered paperwork sent to Community Healthlink by the woman’s rheumatologist to make it appear that the doctor had discontinued the woman’s prescription for oxycodone. Authorities allege that every month from July 2009 until December 2012, the suspects picked up the woman’s oxycodone prescription from the doctor and had it filled, but did not give the medication to the woman.

Both have since been fired for unrelated reasons.

Community Healthlink provides assistance to people with mental health and substance abuse problems.
