MOUNT BLANCHARD, Ohio (AP) - A kindergarten teacher has pleaded not guilty to a child endangerment charge in Ohio after a surveillance camera appeared to show her pushing one of her students and grabbing his face and shirt.

The Courier newspaper in Findlay reports Barbara Williams entered a written not guilty plea Monday instead of appearing at an arraignment.

The teacher at Riverdale Local Schools was suspended for 10 days after the video was made public last month.

The school’s superintendent also apologized to the parents and called the incident unfortunate.

Williams and her attorney have declined to comment about the charges. The boy’s parents want the teacher fired.
