BRANSON, Mo. (AP) - Buzz Airways, which offers public charter flights, is now flying out of Branson Airport.

Airport officials say Buzz Airways will offer once-daily flights to and from Chicago and Houston. Fares begin at $99 one way.

The Springfield News-Leader reports (https://sgfnow.co/1s929Kl ) the flights partially fill a void left when Southwest Airlines ended its operations at the airport last weekend.

Flights can currently be booked through September 2. Buzz Airways uses 30-passenger British Aerospace Jetstream 41 aircraft.

Branson Airport Executive Director Jeff Bourk has said the airport hopes to recruit a new mainline air service next year.
