UPLAND, Pa. (AP) - Authorities in southeastern Pennsylvania say a man is facing assault and weapons charges following a late-night stabbing inside a hospital emergency room.

Police in Delaware County tell KYW (https://cbsloc.al/1lpFpk6 ) that an argument broke out between two men Tuesday night after both accompanied a patient to the hospital.

Authorities said one of the men allegedly pulled out a kitchen knife and stabbed the other.

Police said the injured man was treated for a wound that wasn’t life-threatening, and he was expected to be discharged Thursday.

The suspect was taken into custody. No hospital employees were threatened or hurt.
