SEATTLE (AP) - A 27-year-old Federal Way man suspected of having a role in three south King County shootings in one week pleaded not guilty Thursday to murder and weapon charges for one of them.

After his plea in King County Superior Court, Bernard Bellerouche was ordered to remain in jail with bail set at $2 million.

He is charged in the May 7 death of 28-year-old Demario Washington in Federal Way.

KOMO reports (https://bit.ly/1xPLifN ) a witness said Washington was killed in an argument about loyalty.

Bellerouche has not been charged with the other two shootings. Police believe he was involved in a May 12 shooting that wounded a man in Des Moines and the May 13 shooting in Federal Way that killed 22-year-old George J. Gabriel, a Marine on leave.
