TACOMA, Wash. (AP) - A Tacoma School District spokeswoman says 38 students at Stadium High School got two-day suspensions for vandalizing classmates’ cars.

Several of the students involved say the stunt was all in fun and involved things like shaving cream and water balloons. However district spokeswoman Elle Warmuth says some cars were damaged when students jumped on the hoods or painted them with shoe polish.

The targeted cars were parked near the Tacoma school during school hours earlier this month.

The pranksters - reportedly juniors - picked on the cars of sophomores. Then they discussed their exploits on social media.
