GEORGETOWN, Texas (AP) - A Central Texas jury has sentenced a Houston man to 42 years in prison for murder in the 1991 disappearance of his estranged wife whose body was never found.

The Williamson County jury deliberated about two hours Thursday before sentencing 53-year-old Rex Allen Nisbett in the death of Vicki Nisbett. He must serve just over 10 years of that term before becoming eligible for parole, and he will receive credit for the 16 months he has spent in jail before the trial.

Vicki Nisbett was last seen in December 1991 at her apartment in Cedar Park, a northern suburb of Austin. She was in the process of divorcing her husband when she went missing.

Jurors deliberated for two days before finding Nisbett guilty of murder Wednesday night.
