BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Passenger numbers at North Dakota’s eight large airports surpassed 100,000 in the month of May for the first time.

The state Aeronautics Commission says there were 100,118 boardings, an increase of nearly 8 percent over the year.

Aeronautics Commissioner Kyle Wanner says passenger numbers in the state have doubled in the past nine years.
