LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - A group is holding an event at the Arkansas Capitol to draw attention to the 65,000 children in the state whose fathers are in prison.

The group Arkansas Voices for the Children Left Behind is gathering at 11 a.m. Friday in the rotunda.

A choir from the Arkansas Community Correction Unit at Osceola is to perform and a letter from a father frustrated by his incarceration is to be read. A mother and a son, whose father is locked up, are to speak about their efforts to remain in contact.

The annual gathering will be the 10th for the group.
