PLEASANTVILLE, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say the cause of a fire in Pleasantville that claimed the life of at least one person is believed to be arson.

Firefighters arrived on the scene of the one-story home on Doughty Road at 3:15 a.m. Friday. They discovered the burned remains of an unidentified male inside the home.

Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain tells The Press of Atlantic City (https://bit.ly/1omVbQ8 ) investigators believe the fire was intentionally set.

One firefighter suffered non-life threatening injuries, including smoke inhalation and heat exhaustion.

The investigation is continuing.
