NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - New Haven firefighters have put out another fire in the same high-rise apartment were a man was killed earlier this week.

The department says the latest fire at the University Towers was reported at about 11:30 p.m. Thursday by a security guard and quickly extinguished, but not before residents of the 17-floor building were again evacuated.

No injuries were reported.

Sixty-three year old Charlton Gilbert died and four people were injured in Wednesday morning’s fire in the same sixth-floor apartment.

Both fires remain under investigation, but chief Allyn Wright says neither is considered suspicious.
